ART/WORK

Passage from one of the last pages:

"The art world is a vast and sprawling place, and you, the artist, are its vital center. We envy your talent and admire your decision to pursue an art career, and we encourage you to do this on your own terms. There are many ways to be an artist, many routes to representation and many definitions of success. We hope that what we've told you will make your life easier, save you time, and let you focus on what's most important: your art.
We congratulate you on getting this far - and wish you good luck!"

Wind In My Hair. Waiting.
(Ink, watercolor, collage on paper)

I've been working on this piece for the past few weeks. It's hard to stay with a piece for a longer amount of time than you are use to. But, lately I've been trying to pace myself in a way that I can stay engaged longer and give a single piece a consistent amount of thoughtfulness.
